Check your existing bookings to see if you can get your tickets for a cheaper price.
Here are the steps on how you can do it:
- Log in to your Southwest account.
- Go to ‘My Account’ and then select ‘My Upcoming Trips’.
- Select a trip that falls within the promo period.
- Click on ‘Change Flight’.
- Confirm the flight you want to update.
- Modify the flight information: departure airport, destination, date and time.
- Choose your new preferred flight and then select ‘Continue.’
- If a cheaper price is available, it will be displayed here. You can then proceed to amend your booking.
- The difference in fare will be refunded to you in the form of travel credit or a refund of points.
- Confirm the changes and wait for the new booking confirmation.
Remember to check the terms and conditions before changing your flight.
- Itinerary changes are subject to current availability and may result in higher fares on one or more segments.
- Changes apply to all passengers on the reservation.
- Funds applied from nonrefundable fares toward the purchase of a new reservation remain nonrefundable.
- Note: If a non-refundable fare is canceled at least 10 minutes before scheduled departure, a flight credit will be issued for a Wanna Get Away fare, and a Transferable Flight Credit™ will be issued for a Wanna Get Away Plus fare.
- To get on the standby list for an earlier flight, please see a Southwest Gate Agent. Customers who have purchased a Wanna Get Away fare may be charged a fare difference.
