Venice is one of those bucket list destinations that everyone should visit at least once.
Its unique setting, enigmatic architecture, and beautiful scenery make it easy to see why.
It is also a popular tourist destination, with many things to do and see.
Venice has something for everyone, whether you’re looking for culture, history, or a romantic getaway.
Hyatt Centric Murano Venice
Without a doubt, Venice can also be an extremely expensive destination.
If you’re not mindful about your budget, you can easily spend a fortune on your lodging alone.
I highly recommend the Hyatt Centric Murano Venice if you like a good deal and seek an inexpensive way to stay in this lovely city using World of Hyatt points.
Besides being affordable on points, this hotel also offers stunning views of the Venetian lagoon.
It is situated just steps away from some of the best shopping and dining that Murano has to offer.
While it is somewhat far from the hustle and bustle of central Venice, the hotel is just a short water taxi or public ferry ride away from Venice’s main attractions.
This blog post will discuss why we recommend this hotel and how to book a free/discounted stay at this property using World of Hyatt points.
Location: Venice Views Without The Crowds
The Hyatt Centric Murano Venice is in the Venetian city of Murano, just a ferry ride from central Venice.
Murano is famous for its glassmaking history.
In fact, several glass manufacturers still operate on the island today.
The hotel is in the heart of Murano, just a few minutes walk from many of the island’s glassblowing studios.
While the hotel itself is not mind-blowingly extraordinary, it’s clean, comfortable, and has all the amenities you need for a pleasant stay.
It has the same lagoon setting as Venice but is far away from the tourist crowds.
All things considered, what makes the Hyatt Centric Murano Venice a great choice is its price on points.

Standard rates are 12,000 nightly, and peak rates are at 15,000. This Category 3 award pricing ends on March 26, 2204.
Category 4 rates will apply for rooms booked after March 26, 2024.
Whether Category 3 or 4, I think this redemption is an incredible deal, considering a standard room costs around 300 euros during the high season.
The Hyatt Centric Murano Venice is a terrific option if you’re looking for an inexpensive place to stay in Venice.
You’ll be close to all the action but without having to spend a fortune on your accommodation.
How Do We Earn World of Hyatt Points?
I primarily earn World of Hyatt points through credit card rewards.
Previously, the only way to earn these hotel “loyalty” points was by consistently staying at specific hotel chains.
Racking up enough hotel points for a night or two can certainly take a lot of time and money.
Thankfully, that is just now a thing of the past.
Anyone can earn these hotel loyalty points by accruing points from credit card sign-up bonuses.
I typically take advantage of various banks’ generous credit card sign-up bonuses.
These bonuses are usually in the form of “points” that can be exchanged for various rewards, including free hotel stays at Hyatt properties like the Hyatt Centric Murano.
Since I’m spending only a tiny portion of my hard-earned cash on hotels, I can leave my savings untouched, allowing them to grow for future goals such as early retirement.

Hotel Review
The hotel was formerly a glass factory in the city’s prestigious glass district.
It has 119 rooms, including 31 Duplex Suites and 2 Premium Suites, all decorated with chocolate and beige furnishings, hand-crafted glass lamps, mirrors, etc.
From basic rooms to extra-large suites, they provide the ideal place to relax after a busy day of Venetian sightseeing.
The rooms are large and modern. The bathrooms are relatively spacious and well-appointed, with rainfall showerheads and complimentary toiletries.
The beds are comfortable, and the rooms are air-conditioned – a necessity during brutal summer months.
What We Booked: 2 Twin Beds
The Lagoon is within a stone’s throw away in this 23-square-meter (247 square feet) room, which features twin beds, hardwood floors, and a tea table.
For guests’ convenience, each room has a laptop-sized safe and minibar.
Globalist Upgrade: Duplex Suite
Globalist is the World of Hyatt’s Highest Elite Tier.
It provides numerous perks such as complimentary breakfast, late checkout, waived resort fees, and suite upgrades if available.
Of the two rooms we booked, both got upgraded to Duplex Suites. We definitely lucked out.
These two-floor suites, occupying 38 square meters (409 square feet), feature a duplex configuration that makes them perfect for cozy couple’s getaways and family vacations.
On the main level, the spacious living area has a sofa that converts into a bed.
The upper mezzanine is accessed via an industrial-style metal staircase with a king-size bed.
Complimentary Airport Pick-Up & Drop Off Via Water Taxi (All Guests)
Please check with the property directly if this benefit is still offered to guests, as we received reports that it is no longer available unless booked on a paid stay.
One of the generous perks of this Hyatt property is the free airport shuttle on a water taxi.
Here are a few essential things to be aware of so you are guaranteed a spot on their water taxi (Source: Hyatt Murano Venice):
- This service is available to all guests.
- Reservations are required & recommended. Reserve your spot here.
- You will be notified about seat availability one week before arrival.
- For return transfers, please refer to the Front Desk upon check-in.
- The shuttle service is subject to availability from 9:00 AM to 8:30 PM.
- The shuttle leaves at set times and will not be able to wait for guests who do not arrive on time.
- Seat availability on the next shuttle is not guaranteed and is based on a first-come, first-served basis.
- In case of lack of availability, technical problems, or adverse weather conditions (e.g., thick fog and strong winds) affecting onboard safety, guests may be asked to use public transport Alilaguna, in which case the hotel will assume no liability and will offer no refund of the cost of the ticket for the public transportation.
Globalist Benefit: Complimentary Breakfast
The Hyatt Centric Murano Venice offers a complimentary breakfast buffet if you have Globalist status with Hyatt.
The buffet features a variety of hot and cold items, as well as a made-to-order omelet station.
A coffee bar in the lobby offers a variety of specialty coffees and teas.
The property also has a few great dining options, including a bar that offers stunning views of the Venetian lagoon.
The hotel also has a 24-hour fitness center that is complimentary for guests.
